Adding sitemaps gets stuck in an endless loop

I have installed laravel-sitemap in my project that has, apart from static pages, \blogs and \projects pages (that have dynamic slugs stored in a db).

Now when I generate the sitemaps, the request takes too long and when I check my logs, I get this:

Seems like laravel-sitemap goes to my /blog page and scans the page to find the pagination links and tries to add those to the sitemap, thus creating the infinite loop.

When I disable adding /blog with the following, the issue disappears, but i still want the blogs in the sitemaps.

Please also note that the \projects page is correctly 'sitemapped', including its dynamic slugs stored in the db.

I solved this.
I realized a mistake in my code that wasn't apparent when running on localhost.
