Middleware for authentication

Hi all!

following the guide, adding a "guard" for authenticated pages could be a long job on large websites with many pages to protect.

Is it possible to use middleware to protect pages?
Trying myselft I saw that event.request.url often refers to _server endpoints and other "under the hood" ulrs. Any idea on how to do that?
