Is there a way to change the point sampling rate i.e. how many points are recorded per second?

I am using this canvas component, and I want to be able to change the sampling rate of points for drawing a path. The amount of points recorded by the gesture handler is quite low, and I would like it to be higher. Upon inspecting the library source code, it seems that it is using the Pan gesture. Is there any way I can modify the sampling rate for this?
