Pan gesture blocks scrolling

I have a simple pan gesture inside a vertical FlatList.

      .onStart(
        e => {
          if (e.numberOfPointers === 2) {
            origin.x.value = e.translationX;
            origin.y.value = e.translationY;
          }
        },
        {shouldCancelWhenOutside: false},
      )
      .onChange(e => {
        if (e.numberOfPointers === 2) {
          translation.x.value = e.translationX - origin.x.value;
          translation.y.value = e.translationY - origin.y.value;
        }
      })
      .onEnd(e => {
        translation.x.value = withTiming(0);
        translation.y.value = withTiming(0);
      });

And i am using it like so,

    return (
      <GestureDetector gesture={Gesture.Race(pinch, pan)}>
        <Animated.View onLayout={onLayout} style={[animatedStyles]}>
          {children}
        </Animated.View>
      </GestureDetector>
    );

i am just testing the new API thats why i am playing with numberOfPointers value in the example actually it is working fine, i mean it's waiting for 2 fingers to trigger the pan but it's also blocking my FlatList's scrolling
