Update results in auth errors for some apps

I recently tried to update from commit 9aa137af01f05386e5bb5050e983750017007a66 to 8e9b1a571399104e42d8fa5de6c28c63bff0c16a and got auth errors like

Authorization required, but no authorization protocol specified

error initializing libui: Cannot open display:

when opening apps like gparted and usb imager that usually prompt for auth. Went back to normal after just reverting niri flake and not my nix packages versions. Maybe has to do with xwayland issues? Just thought it was of note for now.
