Screen preferences doesn't persist

I have dual monitors. The changes made to the prefered screen and positions aren't persisting after a logout, it even loses the preference while running, after a while, it just reverts back, even tho visually it displays the changes I made in the screen settings.

Maybe it can help, that is issued in journalctl the moment the preferences reverts back:

Hm, I am able to re-produce this. From memory, there is supposed to be a dialog that pops up to confirm your choices (doing nothing reverts it back). However, this dialog is no longer appearing for me anymore.
