API URL #1
Description
The API URL is a bunch of ham-fisted logic right now. It has to be the base URL for the instance and can't be the base URL for the API. That's dumb. It should be flexible and forgiving -- either should work (and the documentation should clearly reflect what does work -- which is not the case right now).
