Lesson 15: FrontEnd using rinkeby

It seems as though a lot of the steps in this tutorial are not necessary if deploying to rinkeby instead of hardhat and therefore not using moralis with hardhat... Can anyone assist me in clarifying what steps become irrelevant when considering the above

Uhm.. is this your first time going through the course? If so, why bother skipping through Hardhat? Or is it just for the front-end? Cheers!

"Create one of type immutable instead, initialize via constructor and then throughout the contract do not change its state. And finally, at last create a getter function as described above." This is as simple as it gets though - because when we create an immutable variable (let's say, deployer) it cannot be assigned again. And as to the "for example If I needed to use the deployers address as a parameter within transferFrom inside function buyItem" we just do return deployer; in a getter function, or if you intend on using deployer, you just store it in a new variable by using it to store the getDeployer's output. (new variable because it is immutable and cannot be assigned again)

and if the above is correct essentially all I needed to do was add immutable to my initial example then call it as a parameter within my function? as I am not looking to return it rather use it as a parameter

essentially my question had more to do with the first 2 lines... Once I've got deployer address I know how to call it anywhere within my contract... Hence me being confused by your function explanation... My question was simply how do I let my contract know who deployed the contract... address public walletA; constructor { walletA = msg.sender } From my understanding of your answer all you're saying is I need to add immutable to the above?

Yes, an immutable variable XYZ -> default contructor which initializes XYZ -> a pure getter function which returns an address type -> which will be our return XYZ

Note: If assigned again, leads to a TypeError: Cannot assign to a constant variable
