Lesson 7: Unable to deploy on Rinkeby Network

I had some issue when deploying to Rinkeby on the Lesson 7.

I found the same issue in this discussion #494 but I notice they did not get to any resolution. As I commented there, I already isolated the issue and would love to get some answer.

I have the same problem, what the terminal says is that it got troubles reading the properties of ethUsdPriceFeed which are given by networkConfig[chainId]["ethUsdPriceFeed"] . So the first thing I did was making sure that all the exports and imports were ok (as I can run in any developmentChains , as they were I focused on ethUsdPriceFeedAddress = networkConfig[chainId]["ethUsdPriceFeed"]; this line making sure it was good written, I got to the conclusion that the chainId was the problem as in helper-hardhat-config.js we do not specify that the numbers given = chainId . And I know it is that way because when I run the same code with ethUsdPriceFeedAddress = networkConfig[4]["ethUsdPriceFeed"]; ,obviously on the rikeby network, I can run the deployment without any problem. I would love if someone could tell me how to attach chainId to the numbers that contain the arguments in helper-hardhat-config.js .

OMG, sorry I just saw what I had wrong. I just realized that we had declared const chainId = network.chainId above and now it all makes sense, I got that line wrong, that's why the args could be read... Thx!!!!

Can you go in a little more detail, I cant see the issue and I have the same error.... did you mean you never declared it ?

Hey, yeah that is what I meant, I used chainId bellow without declaring it before, I thought it was some other thing from Ethers or something, not a variable...
