Lesson 8: Error connecting wallet

When I update index.html I see a "Modified" sign on my index.html and it no longer allows me to connect - kindly advise

I cloned the lesson 8 github repository... And upon viewing it using live server, I am able to click the connect button and it connects my metamask...But as soon as I make any updates to the docs on vs code... None of the buttons work...
