21,000 gas vs. 2300 gas to trasnfer ETH

Hello eveyrone,

First, I highly appreciate Patrick and all the community members here to help out the newbies like I am.

My query for the FundMe.sol project in the course, screenshot uploaded below:

The transfer function uses 2300 gas.
Somewhere on Net, I read that any transaction on ETH mainnet costs fixed 21,000 gas.

When I withdrew funds, it costs 37,146 gas.

Does this include both 21,000 as well as 2300 gas ?

Also, this is my first post in the discussion section.
Let me know please if I should follow some good practice while using this section / posting any queries in the future.

It is because the withdraw() function is gas-intensive as it employs the use of a for loop - Patrick explains gas optimization in the early chapters, so look out for that! Let me know if this helps!

I'll rephrase my quesiton in cade I could not deliver the message earlier:

So, as you said, the for loop is gas-intensive and hence 37,146 gas consumed.

Does this 37,146 gas includes the fixed Transaction gas 21,000 as well as 2300 gas that transfer() function costs , in addition to the for loop's gas ??

Yes, I am almost certain it is included - by the way, if you want precise analysis it is worth looking at the network's Etherscan (that will contain all the data). Hope this helps!
