Cannot connect to Rpc server

Hi, I am unable to deploy the smart contract from my vs code .

I have connected the ganache but when i open the Rpc server in the browser ,it says 404 error . and also when running node deploy.js the following error occured

The port is meant to show 404 cause it doesn't really serve a file and change the HTTP in json rpc provider url to lowercase (i.e http)

What worked for me:

1. Change the version of ethers in your package.json to "5.4.0". There is a dependency issue if you're using the latest version.
2. The above should resolve the RPC error, but if you make this change and get a gas estimation error (which I did), you need to make sure your SimpleStorage.sol contract is set to pragma solidity 0.8.7 (not ^0.8.7) and the solidity compiler running in VS code is set to 0.8.7.
