Lesson 4: What does the GetVersion function do in the FundMe.sol file

I downloaded the FundMe.sol file from the github and I noticed a GetVersion function that was not mentioned in the video. Can someone please explain what that function does exactly? I understand that its getting some sort of information from the address of the ETH/USD pair using the AggregatorV3Interface, but can someone explain what that information is? and what the significance of it is?
