What's Next To Create Huge DApps

After Knowing the basics and how to make smart contracts via Solidity, I remain in Ethereum Blockchain, I want to learn about how to make something bigger like steemit and such things built as I know on its blockchain, so there is no solidity there so the question is how to start to learn about building my blockchain and for the new Dapp built on it at the beginning I won't have minors so how it will work at first, the second question is taking the example of steemit , as I know every transaction or modifying on the blockchain requires payment for minors so on steemit when I post something why that not considered as modifying and I don't pay anything, I mean how it does work to make something on my app not considered as a transaction like modifying my profile for example.
