Is it ok to just focus on backend? #602
-
I am new to web development in general and have found that I enjoy doing the backend much more than the front end. I am wondering if you can participate and contribute to projects and hackathon events by just being really good at backend development? Also, if it is advised for or against just purely specializing in one aspect of web3 development? If learning the frontend is crucial to getting more involved in the space I will tough out the front end section, but if not, I would much rather just enjoy doing the backend. |

@cipher222 Ya, It all depends on you and what you like, if you are just comfortable with the backend then it is absolutely fine. Now when comes to participating in any hackathon or event you can find some partner who can handle just the front end and you can focus on the backend, you can make this combo. And if you are just talking about web3 space, then ya there are many positions where they do not even ask you for frontend skills, like solidity developer, smart contract developer, etc. You can find those jobs or do stuff related to your interests. In the end, all matters are your interests. |
