[error]:SSL Certificate Problem when Installing NVM in VS Code Terminal

I'm trying to install NVM in Visual Studio Code's terminal on windows but I'm encountering an SSL certificate problem with the curl command. The error message is "curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate." Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue and successfully install NVM? Thanks!
