Please explain me difference between deploying on a testnet and on a development chain

hey @KnightSoul9 I tried to explain you, hope this will make sense.

When we deploy our smart contract on testnet it doesn't cost real ETH, And testnet gives you freedom to try out things with your smart contract without deploying on mainnet. And deploying on chainlink it facilitate security and reliability between ethereum projects and various off-chain data(off-chain data is any non-transactional data that is too large to be store in the blockchain efficiently). Because Chainlink's LINK token is built on the ethereum platform.
