Lesson 8: Hardhat Bug - localhost accounts not showing

1. Hardhat command became unavailable.
2. reinstalled hardhat
3. Now terminal is throwing this instead of the accounts when running yarn hardhat node or any hardhta cmd.
   
   ===============================================================================
   App is down, can't run a local node, no accounts or keys available for no apparent reason.

Why is it prompting me to create a sample project instead of spitting out the accounts as it did up until now? Anyone has an idea?

are you in the proper directory? try running it with npx hardhat node instead of yarn

what version of node are you running?

@mattjaf Thank you for the input. I started over the Lesson and now it is working well although I am now getting an error when running the 1st transaction using metamask.

Error: Transaction reverted: function selector was not recognized and there's no fallback function

No one seems to know the solution to this. Any ideas are welcome!

@mattjaf It seems you were right initially. When the bug happened it seems I was pushed out of the directory and was unable to access again. Then I had the 2nd error mentionned above.

Fixed it by reinstalling vscode, dependencies and starting the contract from scratch.
