I can't figure out how to install git

Not sure how to install git. In the video, Patrick goes to the git install page and tells us to follow the Ubuntu commands in our terminal. I tried but 'sudo apt install git-all' but sudo isn't recognised?

been trying to figure this out for about half an hour trying all types of commands, would appreciate some help!

try download first: https://git-scm.com/downloads

You should have '$' at end of your prompt. So once you are running WSL /ubuntu terminal:
sudo apt-get install git -y

You need to be running in WSL terminal if you are trying to use ubuntu commands like 'sudo'.
Might need to start from beginning of installation part of the video. It's easy to miss something that Patrick does if not paying close attention to what he's saying when he's doing something.

Oh I see, I ran those commands in WSL and it worked! I'm assuming, anytime I want to use git i need to use WSL. And for other things to do with the code, I use powershell?

Actually they recommend using wsl for everything. too my understanding.
