I'm doing a Decentralized voting system for my University FYDP

As the title states my reasons for starting this course has to do with my final year design project (FYDP). I wanted to ask to those who finished this course , do I have to watch the whole 32 hour video in order to implement smart contract based voting system?. Also If I do manage to finish the whole course , what are the prospects of me finding a career in this ecosystem as a fresh undergrad in Canada, US?.
