@mattjaf in the video Patrick didn't connect metamask to ganache to execute this code and I copied everything word by word from Patrick's code as I was not able to understand the error when I first wrote this code.
But I understood this much that it's failing to connect to ganache's blockchain for some reason and then giving that undefined error.

Try to downgrade your ethers version.

yarn add ethers@5.5.3

Hey many many thanks @W3journey , i had never thought that just by downgrading the ethers version will work. You see, i was just debugging for like 1 and half days and i have tried almost all the possible solutions like hardhat, ganache-cli but nothing worked, thanks again . good job, keep it up. 😊
