Error Installing Hardhat, Cant find packages..

After installing hardhat for a new "FUND ME'' project as it claimed to be successful, I cant seem to find any Hardhat installed packages whatsoever..

Can you do history so that we can see what your setup commands are? Don't share any ENV variables you had set in the terminal.

In any case, I have gathered what I believe to be all the environment setup steps in lessons 6 & 7. Please take a look and see if you're missing any steps:

Step	Notes
The first three steps are in the WSL Bash.
mkdir a directory of the project. Ex: mkdir hardhat-simple-storeage-fcc
cd to that directory
code .	Starts VSCode
All steps below takes place in the VSCode terminal:
yarn init
In package.json, delete main index.js because we will be using hardhat.config.js.
yarn add --dev hardhat	Have fewer & only dev depedencies
yarn hardhat	This should show the hh menu for projects.
Lesson 6: Select simple project
Lesson 7: Select complex project
Optional: Delete the .eslintignore and .eslint
Optional: Delete .npmignore
Optional: Update .prettierrc
Optional: Update .prettierignore
Update the .env with RINKEBY Alchemy URL & key
yarn --dev add @nomiclabs/hardhat-etherscan
Add namedAccounts: {     deployer: {       default: 0,     },   }, To hardhat.config.js	This is so that getNamedAccounts knows which of the 10 hardhat network accounts you want to use for deployment.
yarn add --dev @chainlink/contracts
yarn add --dev hardhat-deploy
Add require("hardhat-deploy") in hardhat.config.js.	Typing yarn hardhat should show the deploy option
yarn add --dev @nomiclabs/hardhat-ethers@npm:hardhat-deploy-ethers ethers.	This overrides ethers with hardhat & adds hardhat-ethers.
Number the deployment script in deploy

Make sure that in your vscode terminal you running the yarn command in same directory.Close the terminal and hit ctrl + ~ to open vscode terminal navigated to current directory and then run yarn command
