Im confused in the sending and receiving part

In lesson 4 when we fund someone it goes to a random account off metamask
we are funding our contract right? so is the address that we paying our contract address?

The only account funded in lesson 4 is the contract's. Either by connecting through Injected Provider - Metamask or by using the send button from Metamask. There's no random account.

After deploying the FundMe contract an address is generated and you can see it above the fund button:

That's the only address receiving funds.
