How to save/find files/folders from vsc on my desktop

How do I save or find all the files and folders I've created in vsc, I've tried finding them and looking up how to save them into my pc but I have yet to figure it out. I've researched it but can't seem to figure it out. I can save the workspace but the actual coding is not saved

@Lob12 You can use VS Code built-in terminal.

I ended up downloading the files and that worked, can you explain how to do it in the terminal? I would like to know for future reference, thank you

@Lob12 There are multiple commands for doing things, so when you feel like you can ask me later or google is best for searching anything.
