Is WSL Ubuntu necessary?

I'm having big issues installing wsl & ubuntu. Can I just continue without Ubuntu? Where we will be using ubuntu? I have git bash & hyper terminal, will that not be enough?
Is Ubuntu necessary for web3 development? Can I use any ubuntu's alternative?

@DevABDee No any operating system is necessary for web3, use whatever you like and feasible for you to use. Problems come in every operating system and we just have to tackle them by searching from google or taking help from someone.

Btw the problem with ubuntu I am facing is this: I installed WSL on the Windows, on the VS-Code terminal (wsl --install). It was successfully installed then I restarted my PC. When the PC started, I saw the prompt (where I had to put the username, password, etc) but I missed it. I mean the prompt got closed. I was not able to put my username and password etc. Now the Ubuntu is not installed (not showing up) and I have no idea how I can reinstall WSL. I tried to restart my PC, but the prompt didn't show up again.

And then
Then I searched on the internet and found that I can download Ubuntu from the Microsoft store. So I downloaded it. Now I am facing another issue. When ubuntu says "press any key to continue" and I press any key, the terminal shuts down or exits automatically. I'm stuck. Pls help me. Thanks

Hey guys. Update!
Problem solved now Alhumdulilah.
It was something permission problem of something BIOS. I took my pc to the repair shop and the guy just solved the thing in 2mins 🤙🏻
