people.push (SimpleStorage contract)

Hey guys, in the SimpleStorage contract, why can't we just do "people.push(_favNumer, _name)"?
SInce "people" was already declared as an array type of "People".

struct People {
    uint256 myfavNumber;
    string name;
}
People[ ] public people;
function addSomebody(uint256 _favNumer, string memory _name) public {

   ----> people.push(People(_favNumer, _name));

}

Never mind. I just realised that it's a 1D array that's expecting a struct type as input.
