I get this error when i type yarn add solc in the terminal

thanks! this command ran but my solc version is 0.7.5 for some reason and not 0.8.7 so i'm having trouble compiling SimpleStorage.sol

I couldnt find the hardhat config file but I ran
`yarn add solc@0.8.7-fixed``

after running this command that you sent:

npm i --save-dev solc@0.8.7
this fixed the issue and now it's compiling!
