The Merge #2661

The logic in your question is a fallacy--we can only speculate as to what the future holds. Gain knowledge and speculate by yourself whether it is worth the risk. As to "changes" because of the Merge, I do not find any such changes to occur in the general opinion about this space; of course, as above, the unforeseeable future is hard to predict and only leads to speculation. |

@Shawon-Mandal That merge thing will not affect the course! The merge is basically shiting to POS from POW, it gives sustainability, security, and scalability. So you will see that more and more applications will be developed on the Ethereum chain due to this feature, I am not sure whether after the merge gas prices are reduced or not, but if it reduces then it will be a huge shootout for Ethereum blockchain because already Ethereum is leading in development side and the only reason it was back due to its gas prices, and if it reduces than more cool applications and uses cases will be built on top of it. |

Hello,
I am currently on lesson:7 of this course.
Shout out to Patrick for his quality work and until now my journey has been really good.I've learned many things thanks to this course.
I was wondering,
Now that the merge has been happened
is there any chance that the demand for blockchain will be less than currently as things now?In the future, what kind of changes will we see in blockchain technology due to this merge?
I've tried reading some articles from many sites but I couldn't find anything relatable to my question or didn't understand them.
Thank you.
