Lesson 2: Need Help on Adding Rinkeby to Metamask Network #2431

Hi folks, In video 2:50:00, the guy chose Rinkeby Testnet directly on his MetaMask. I don't have Rinkeby in the network, so I did a google search on how to add Rinkeby. But after I added the "Rinkeby", there is a question mark showing with my "Rinkeby Network" and the Network has no ether, even though my Mainnet does. Does anyone know how to add Rinkeby Network and what's wrong here? |

Hey @spicypunk I'd recommend you change your network configuration to the ones below. Also each chain has its own currency so even if you have funds on your mainnet doesn't automatically mean that you'll have some on rinkeby. You need to fund your rinkeby chain account with rinkeby ETH. You can find some rinkeby eth here just make sure that you have selected the rinkeby network in your Metamask. |

Hi @othaime-en, thank you so much for your reply! I am now trying to set up with new configuration, but a window for https://rinkeby.infura.io/v3/ keeps popping up asking for login information. And without login, the MetaMask won't let me save the config. I am wondering what problems it entails.

Update: I found a website https://umbria.network/connect/ethereum-testnet-rinkeby that help me automatically connect to the config @othaime-en provided. Thanks a lot team! |
