Lesson 2: Problem requesting Rinkeby testnet eth + MetaMask Not initializing

I'm looking to deploy the simple storage contract to a testnet using the Injector environment like in the video. In the video when the instructor goes to deploy his contract Metamask is initialized immediately. That never happens for me my MM looks like its loading (for a day now) after requesting ETH from a test net.

The transaction from the Chainlink Faucet seems to be loading forever and I'm wondering if this is causing a problem inside of remix

Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

@Strawbridge3D : Chainlink faucet is currently, not working properly, and thats not the reason for your failed deployments.

Kindly provide some screenshots for me to look at of your remix when deploying!

@Strawbridge3D : First go to your Environments an select Injected Provider - Metamask

And then deploy your contract to rinkeby testnet.

Hopefully, It will resolve your issue!

@Strawbridge3D Make sure to see the terminal in remix for any possible issues, unlock your metamask manually and switch to the network where you have the funds (Rinkeby/whatever). In the remix select the Injected Provider - Metamask tab on the deploy button. See if it works otherwise show the remix ide terminal and settings parts.

Hey,
If you are using the offline version of remix the metamask won't pop up so make sure you are using the online remix.
For better information kindly provide the screenshot of the problem.

It's what I've been doing. When I select it the tag under the environment name changes to "Rinkeby (4) Network"
