LESSON 14 - Why does chanceArray value changes after iteration?

I am not sure to understand why the value for chanceArray[i] is set as 10 for the 1st iteration & then moves on to 30 on the second.

Is this because of how we defined getChanceArray() return?

return[10, 30, MAX_CHANCE_VALUE]

So on 1st iteration we will have 10%, 2nd iteration 30%, 3rd iteration 60% and one of these 3 will always be true, correct?

@DorianDaSilva Yes! you are absolutely correct, just one minor correction 2 index has a 20% chance.

May I ask why is it a 60% chance for the St. Bernard? Isn't it 70% instead? If there's a 10% chance of getting a pug, 20% of getting a shiba, then it should be 70% chance of getting a St. Bernard.

And what's the use of a getChanceArray() function? Can't we just do something like this (see image)? p.s. I made it rarer to get a Shiba (personal preferences)

Yea, but why the need to do (100-30-10)%?

@terrytjw I believe this is optional based on your preference for this particular set of NFTs. As long as the total is 100% you should be able to select different ratios based on rarity and how many NFTs you want to include.
