Hey all!
I need some help debugging my code. The error is not very clear to me.
My steps for running into this error:

The RandomIpfsNft contract is deployed ok
I run hh deploy --network rinkeby --tags mint and I get Error: cannot estimate gas; transaction may fail or may require manual gas limit
I realised I should add the gas limit here

Now I'm getting this error that I don't know how to debug (I formatted the JSON a bit):

My steps so far in debugging:

Tried to find differences between my code and the one on this repo
made sure my VRF is set up correctly
checked Etherscan for anything weird

Before I review the code, could you try running on Goerli (preferably Alchemy)?

I can confirm that I have the same issue with the goerli network with Alchemy rpc
(also, just pushed the new code with update hardhat config files)

@iosifv : One of the reason this error is coming because you did not register your Random IPFS Nft contract on : https://vrf.chain.link/

First you need to go here https://vrf.chain.link/ and Create Subscription then,
Copy the Subscription ID from there and put it in your helper-hardhat-config.js file under rinkeby in subscriptionId,
Then deploy your Contract Random IPFS Nft, on rinkeby, after that,
Copy your deployed contract address then go to your Subscription and Add Consumer and paste your deployed contract address in there.

Hopefully, After that your Random IPFS Nft contract will successfully mint Nft.

I have made some PRs in your repo, Check them out! , Corrected some mistakes in there.

Thank you so much for the PR's !!

I added those changes in, made sure that my VRF is set up correctly, I noticed that my gasLane from goerli was copy-pasted from rinkeby so I fixed that according to the documentation found here https://docs.chain.link/docs/vrf/v2/supported-networks/#goerli-testnet

Tried runing the mint script and I keep getting "Timeout: 'NftMinted' event did not fire"

I tried increasing the timeout limit to 15 minutes
I checked the vrf page and it seems there's an error in the Failed requests tab with the reason Wrong key hash specified

So the error i think is somewhere in the VRF settings since it's not asking properly, there's no Link consumed at all.

I've been stuck with this for the past 5 days, so this is literally the best moment of my week!! Thank you for your help!
I'm getting an "image": "ipfs://undefined" in the URI but I'll figure that out myself tomorrow

Yes the above steps that ABoss... mentioned are also necessary. After that also add the manual gas here in the hardhat.config.js file
