Difference between get("") and getcontract("")?

Why is await get("Contract") used in the third script but await ethers.getContract("Contract") in the fourth? What is the difference between them?
Ill be pleased if you can give a link to get documentation, because I can only find getContract or getContractAt in hardhat docs.

Hey @woojiq the .get() feature you see there is not from ethers, rather it is from hre.deployments (a functionality that comes with hardhat-deploy). Remember that in our deploy scripts we normally do const { deploy, log } = deployments Well... .get() is also method/function/object from deployments. So we could also do const { deploy, log, get } = deployments. If you look at line 15 in deploy-governor-contracts you'll find the line const { deploy, log, get } = deployments same as what i've said above. This get method is used to get the recent deployment of whatever contract we specify inside the brackets. So await get("GovernanceToken") will get the most recent deployed GovernanceToken.sol contract.

So in short, await get("Contract") or await deployments.get("Contract") is the same as await ethers.getContract("Contract") in that they both allow you to get contract instances by name. The only difference is one is from ethers while the other comes with the hardhat-deploy plugin.
As for the documentation, just checkout the hardhat-deploy plugin documentation in this repo. Note: The documentation is not that clear, so just read through it slowly.
