Formatter (Solidity + Hardhat) Not Working

I have installed the Solidity + Hardhat extension.

I have set my default formatter to "NomicFoundation.hardhat-solidity" and yet my code is not formatting.

Below I will drop my settings.json, please can you assist.
I also have set my Format On Save to be on.

I'm having the same issue, but I couldn't install the NomicFoundation. hardhat-solidity or set it in the json settings, because the value was not accepted, so I went with the juanBlanco version, chatgpt suggests esbenp.prettier.vscode. I think this has caused other issues in compiling, is the esbenp version good to use or is there a fix for this please?

Had the same problem with SimpleStorage.sol
Make sure you code compile before saving.
I accidentally deleted the double-slash for the license identifier, and adding them back fixed the problem.
