"Error: call revert exception" on nearly every transaction

So I am trying to fund a contract that is already deployed. However, for some reason I always get this error here:

I really don't know what this error means. Would be great if someone could explain it to me in simple words 👍

I saw multiple discussions on CALL_EXCEPTION; it helps to go through the link here to diagnose the problem.

The problem is that the provider is not defined. Now I'm confused if it means the network provider or the owner. The owner should be defined... Thanks for the help again!

Wait a minute. Do I have to specify the named accounts in the beginning of every script?
So this for example:

And in the config like this?

            default: 0,

If that's the case, then I'm unironically stupid...

Yes, we do need deployer as in the config above.

It worked. In my case, I just changed "deployer" to "owner". Made things much easier. Thank you!!!!
