Lesson 4: Getting error calling function fund() and sending Eth directly to contract

Hi Everyone,

I copied the codes from the repo itself and tried both ways.

1. After deploying the contract, call the fund function from Remix IDE with 0.04Eth ( i.e greater than 50 USD). It first throws a warning and when I ignore it and get ahead with a transaction through Metamask it shows a gas fee of around 7 ETH which is too high and as I do not have that much Eth in the Rinkeby test network.
   Please see the screenshot.

2. When I directly send eth of 0.04 to the contract through Metamask the also transaction failed saying out of gas even when I do not change any values suggested by Metamask for the transaction. Find a screenshot for that as well.

Please help as I am stuck on this.

Follow these steps

1. Click on "Send" button to initiate a transaction
2. Enter the amount and click on "Next"
3. Click on the Edit button now, shown in the attached image
4. Click on Advanced Options
5. Increase the gas limit here, just add one or two 0s at the end
6. Try to send the transaction

Thank you it worked! For the first case where I was calling the fund function from Remix UI, I increased the gas limit in the Remix UI itself, and it worked.

And for the second case where I sent Ether directly to contract using Metamask, there also by increasing the gas limit, it worked.
