.env file pushed to gitub despite .gitignore

Something strange happened today as the .env file from raffle project was pushed to github despite being in the .gitignore file.

Anyone knows why this happened? Thank you!

Can you take a look into the commit when .env was pushed as well and see how your .gitignore looked like? Please attach it here

You have two initial commits. Your .env was pushed with the first commit, but .gitignore was not updated then

@vbazhutin Crap, this costed me an old NFT gifted to me by a new project. Lesson learned. Would you say it is preferable to just encrypt every time?

You can do that yeah. I'm jsut making sure my .gitignore is always up to date with the project.
