Seeing own messages after change to new usernames

After getting a non-suffixed username (with the recent changes), when sending a message from bitlbee, the message is echoed back shortly after.
E.g. (tpg is my IRC nickname, discord username censored)

17:11 <@tpg> :/ dang - hope you can find something else easily.
17:11 < mydiscordusername_> :/ dang - hope you can find something else easily.

I guess that is caused by discords recent 'unique username' vs 'shown username' update. So we now either need to save the latter as our uname here, or check both here.
