Pagination of Postbox broken after upgrade to Joomla 5.3.3

I'm not 100% sure but I think the issue is related to the recent update to Joomla 5.3.3. Since then the pagination of the Postbox disappeared, so it's not possible any more to go to older messages.

is this only in the postbox overview or also in single user view?
maybe you can give me an url?

But you need to be logged in, obviously.

In the postbox view, not in the converstation view with a single person.

besides the referlink there is no difference between the two scriptparts.
we have for the postbox view
$referlink = "index.php?option=com_uddeim&task=postbox&Itemid=".$item_id.$addlink.$addlink2;
and the userview
$referlink = "index.php?option=com_uddeim&task=postboxuser&Itemid=".$item_id."&recip=".$userid;

and then we use $shownav = $pageNav->writePagesLinks($referlink);

have you checked changing your site template ?

(maybe you can give me some guest login - with messages)

I just tested with Cassiopeia and that gives the same result.

I can create a test account for you but it will not have any meaasages, certainly not with enough to force a second page.

can you see if there is a DIV <div id='uddeim-pagenav'> in the sourcetext of the page?

try adding in postbox.php (and see/tell what is displayed)

but why is your code so much longer?
you only have the uddeim lines, depending on your postbox site limit (my=12)

• or have you a limit approx. up to 100? and greater than the avail. amount of conversations?
• than you really got NO pagination

In our case the limit is set to 8 (but it only displays 5 lines...?)

maybe the error is somewhere else?
just try set the limit to 3 or 4 and see if the pagination comes up

I set it back to 8 and now the pagination is still there. Shoot me.

have you access to your database?

so you can try (j5 should be your db-prefix)
SELECT DISTINCT toid FROM j5_uddeim WHERE fromid= [your id]
or
SELECT DISTINCT fromid FROM j5_uddeim WHERE toid= [your id]

to see how much conversations are count
