Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?
I joined because I strongly believe in continuous learning and in contributing to open-source communities that are shaping the future of the forecasting field. My goal wasn’t just to learn the technical aspects of the codebase but also to understand sktime's development workflows, design principles, norms and best practicies, and collaborative culture from the inside. This program reflects a mindset I value—staying humble, curious, and community-driven.
What topics are you working on?
So far I've been involved in reporting several issues about FM benchmarking.
What are your learning goals?
Implement a SOTA FM in sktime from scratch.
What's next for you after the mentorship program?
I'd like to continue involved with the development of sktime and the community. I also hope to bring my experience to the table to support the growth of the project and help other contributors when I can.
