Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?
I want to learn best practices in open-source development, improve my understanding of time series analysis, and contribute meaningful enhancements to sktime. Additionally, I aim to strengthen my research and implementation skills in preparation for future projects and publications.

What are your learning goals?
- Get the experience to be able to work on real-world projects, understand backend architectures deeply, and fill the gap between research and coding.
- Develop a strong foundation in software engineering concepts, research methodologies, and academic writing to excel in a future master's program in computer science.
What's next for you after the mentorship program?
I plan to continue contributing to open-source, apply for GSoC 2025, and work on publishing research papers in AI and time series analysis. In the long term, I aim to gain industry experience in AI/ML before pursuing a master's in computer science.
