Why did you join sktime's mentorship program?
I have explored many fields of AI (as can be seen from my GitHub and Kaggle profiles) and now that I am satisfied with where I stand I thought of contributing to open source. Given I have not contributed a lot to open source and time-series is an area I am not very experienced with, I thought joining the program to slowly guide me through the entire process was a good idea.
What topics are you working on?
Currently, I have 3 open PR's:
- Extending parameter estimator base class with y in
fit - Incorrect docstring and tests for segments_to_change_points
- Test case to ensure an AssertionError is thrown if EXCLUDED_TESTS_BY_TEST is not updated
What are your learning goals?
Will update after the week 1 meeting.
What's next for you after the mentorship program?
Kind of clueless right now but I hope to figure it out by the end of the program!
