Hello, I have two questions:

1. When I use the default ‘zemax_double_gaussian.zmxfile from the repo for image rendering, the edges of the rendered image appear very blurry, and thesensor res` parameter is missing. However, when I use the same file in Zemax, I get a much better rendering result. Why is this happening?

2. How do you convert a .zmx file into the corresponding JSON or TXT file in the code library? Are there any tools that I can refer to or use for this process?

Thank you for your interest!

1. Did you make sure in ZEMAX you use the correct field settings [1]? ZEMAX uses PSF convolution for image simulation, undersampled field grids will make the image to appear sharper. In DeepLens we use ray-tracing-based rendering for image simulation, we do not rely on PSF calculation and we can reach the maximum FoV at the edge.

• There are also some small accuracy difference between ZEMAX and DeepLens and we are continuously working on this.

2. Please check this function [2], you can read a .zmx file and save it into a .json file.

Thanks singeryang. I have checked my exps. the result is quite close to Zemax when i use IQ/img1.png,. However, when I use my own image with a resolution of 4032x3024, the result differs significantly from Zemax. My image is too large?
