How to describe columns without saving dataset and schema

In older versions, I could use a connector with field_descriptions to define columns. However, in the current version, it seems that I need to use the semantic layer, which automatically saves the dataset and schema to the datasets directory.
Is there a way to keep the dataset and schema in memory while still being able to ask questions about it?

Try this, it work for me
Just manually input the column description into the schema of pai Dataframe
df = pai.DataFrame(cp_d, _table_name="table_assets", _schema=SemanticLayerSchema(name="stock_customer_dataset_cared_by_user", columns=[Column(**column) for column in description_columns], view=False, source=Source( type="parquet", path="data.parquet", ), ))
