Adding metrics (endpoints, tracing - not so sure) to the MCP

I don't yet know if there are ways to understand or see the trail of data flow in the MCP. 

I'm imagining how much I have to make this an agent, rather than just an MCP server, in order to get it to properly work. I'll have to figure out a way to trace data flow. More research is needed.
