GEDI data April 26, 2024 onwards

Hi gediDB team,

Thanks for this fantastic and very useful database, it’s been a great resource for my work!
I was wondering if there are any plans to include the newer GEDI data releases (April 26, 2024 onwards), as the current version seems to cover up to March 17, 2023.
If an update is planned, I’d be very interested to know the timeline :)

@flo-v Yes, we are planning to update the dataset. Initially, I was waiting for the release of GEDI version 3 with the updates, but there have been delays from the NASA team in releasing it (it was supposed to happen last March). As such, we will expand the version 2 dataset, and we expect to release the updated version this year. Once it happens, I will let you know by closing this issue.
