Bug description

After upgrading to iPadOS 26, the text box for new messages is positioned underneath the keyboard bar when using an external keyboard on an iPad, making it impossible to see what is being typed.

Steps to reproduce

  • Run Signal on an iPad
  • Turn on external keyboard
  • Soft keyboard disappears and is replaced by the horizontal keyboard bar (the one that contains autocomplete suggestions)
  • Unfortunately, the text box for typing messages is behind the keyboard bar.

Actual result:
The text box for typing messages is behind the keyboard bar.

Expected result:

The text box for typing messages is not behind the keyboard bar.

A workaround here is to collapse the keyboard bar (tap the keyboard icon, then tap "minimize"), but this should not be necessary (and wasn't necessary pre-iPadOS 26).
