Signal consuming 70% of Battery on iPad Pro

Bug description

Signal is using WAY more battery than every other app on my iPad combined. 70% battery only for Signal, which on average is actually only open 5-10 min per day.

Steps to reproduce

• Install Signal on iPad
• Let it run for a few days
• Check battery usage

Actual result: Currently showing that 70% of my battery usage is by Signal. Calendar and Google Meet combined are not even 10%
Expected result: I would expect resource usage to be about the same as Google Meet, since I use both apps about the same amount. Google Meet uses 2%, Signal uses 70%.

I just reinstalled Signal, will check again in ~48h to see if it's still doing this.

Sounds good, thank you. Debug logs will also be very helpful: see these support documents.

The iPad will, after first being set up, do a bunch of work that it doesn't typically have to: for example, the import process is battery-intensive, as is downloading media post-link (assuming you synced messages) and restoring things like groups.
