how to send email to adopters upon processing adoption

When adopting an animal in ASM, there is a field to select an email template, but it won't send unless you also send something to be signed and check the signature required box. Is there a way to just send an email? We currently go to Outlook and type in the adopter's name and send it manually from there. This would alleviate this 2nd step if it was possible to do.

This section is there specifically to send a contract to be signed. If you just want to send an email, after completing the adoption you can just click on the persons name to go to their record and use the email button in there.
