If you get a chance would love a comment on Mage and Variant2 if you ever tried them.

It's not a comparison like "pick the best" but more of what are the strengths.

• mage: go native syntax
• variant2: pretty powerful upcoming task runner based on HCL (full access to Functions Terraform and other hcl tools can use)

Lots of options out there :-)
I think these tools make a big difference in reducing toil and easing contributions. 👍

I don't use Variant2 anymore. It was an interesting experiment, but wasn't a good fit.
I've stuck with Mage for a few years now and while there are some areas I'd change, overall it's the Go based automation solution I needed. My build/automation have never been better ;-)
